40 years ago, death and birth of Che Guevara

On 9th October 1967, Ernesto Guevara was executed in Bolivia.

Actually, there are 2 Che Guevara. One lived from 1928 to 1967.
The second one was born in 1967 and is not a real person but a
global icon like many others.

The icon Che can be used anywhere, in a rally in Rome, London
or Mexico City, it can be the cover of a single
(Rage against the machine, 1994) or can be printed on shirts or flags.

The argentinian poet Jorge Aulicino explains his point of view:
the first reason is the famous picture of Alberto Korda
and another reason is the picture of Guevara after his execution,
where he looks like The Lamentation over the Dead Christ of
Andrea Mantegna (1480) and The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp
of Rembrandt (1632). Che Guevara (died at 39) like Jesus Christ.

Do people who wear Che shirts know the details of Guevara's life?
No, but who cares?
The only important thing is showing a global icon of rebellion.
