Number of failed banks from 2000 to 2009 in USA
The chart shows the number of failed banks from 2000 till 2009 in USA (source: FDIC)
We must not think that the financial crisis is over: in the first month of 2010, 15 banks have failed!!! The year 2010 may not reach the number of 139 failed banks (like 2009), but 15 banks in one month is a bad beginning...

Its really sad that this year started with 15 of our banks failing. It shows that the crisis hasn't finished yet, and we need to be cautious.
As mentioned in my link, I believe that investing surplus funds at good companies with bargain rates will help one to reap the benefits in the long run.
